As the Communications Coordinator at the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, I created several branding and event advertisements. I designed monthly luncheon and business at happy hour website banners, as well as larger campaigns for annual events such as the Annual Banquet, the West Texas Legislative Summit, the Business Expo, and the Goodfellow Air Force Base Appreciation Day. I created these graphics using Illustrator and InDesign, as well as Canva so that people on my team with no design background could edit the online banners. Writing Samples
As the Communications Coordinator at the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, I regularly wrote press releases and distributed them to local media. I also wrote and designed brochures and event programs. Writing these releases and managing relationships with the media helped me practice my PR skills and improve my media pitching. In addition, I strengthened my knowledge of the AP style guide and perfected the "inverted pyramid" style of writing popular with journalists. Here are a few samples of my work.
